Personal profile
Dr. Van Tuyl received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 2013 before pursuing post-graduate, clinical training. He completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center from 2013 to 2014 and specialized in cardiology with a PGY2 Cardiology Residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital from 2014 to 2015.
in 2015, Dr. Van Tuyl joined the faculty at St. Louis College of Pharmacy at UHSP, and he maintains clinical practice in general cardiology and cardiac critical care as a Cardiology Pharmacy Specialist at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital. His teaching and research/scholarship focuses on the pharmacologic management of acute and critical cardiovascular diseases, such as acute heart failure, cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, and arrhythmias.
